Shlavim Comprehensive Education
- Shlavim at School
The Shlavim Comprehensive Education Program is raising the bar at over 60 schools
throughout Israel. Our goal is to raise the professional standards of teaching, and
address the needs of vulnerable students who need academic and emotional support, thereby reducing dropout rates.
A specially appointed educational guidance counselor coordinates Shlavim programs within each school, and monitors the students' academic and social progress.
Responsibilities of the educational counselor include:
- Identifying students who will derive the most benefit from the Shlavim programs.
- Serving as liaison between therapists, teachers, and parents to maximize impact and improve results.
- Providing regular guidance to teachers and maintaining close involvement in the students’ academic progress, as well as their psychological and social well - being.
Our counselors receive professional supervision from the Shlavim senior staff and participate in ongoing training to enhance their skills and enrich their professional knowledge.
